Gymmomntc2e6 L4 meet results!!!
~*~*~GOOD LUCK~*~*~ to your little girl tomorrow!!! My finger are crossed that all the fairies you need arrive on time, and your daughter has the best meet ever!
Good luck to all the other girls competing this weekend too...Mariposa?? Your daughter is strutting...
Well first meet of the season went good with some really big surprise! This was a judges cup and they gave out written critiques to take home.
She started on floor. This is by far her favorite event. She looked really good to me, but of course I am her mama. I saw a few mistakes but apparently...
We just had a meet today, her second meet, level 4, just turned seven.
She fell off the bars on her shoot through (sp?) all of a sudden.
So this is what happened:
She gets on and completely forgets to do her front hip circle (has never happend before)! :D She goes on to do her shoot through...
We are so excited for this first meet. It's a Judges Cup and it's pretty tough as fas as scores go. Olivia competed at this same meet last year. The good part is that they go 100% AA so everyone gets atleast one medal.
This is also our first meet with the new gym and I am hoping it will be a...
My daughter is not crazy about repeating level 4 (age 8). Her gym is having all the girls repeat. She did good her first year, avg. 35 all around. She knows she will do very well repeating level 4, but wants to learn new skills and not have the same training as last year. She is thinking about...
LOL...o.k I shouldn't say how bad but I'm looking at them going...hmmmmm.
#1 and above all, she's THRILLED. She had five medals hanging from her neck and flowers from her parents.
When all was said and done she was so proud of herself and THAT is what I prayed for. Everything else is icing on...
 How do i keep my legs straight on my fonrt hip circle? i curl around the bar in a tuck position? i end u falling of if i try to keep them straight? and on the mill circle or stride circle too. i bend my first leg that is over the bars? legs straight???
i have been trying so hard to get it but i need some help! what are some things i can work on at home that could help me! please give me advice or i cant compete  lol
Does anyone know if you need to score a certain AA in level 4 before you can move up to level 5? I thought I read somewhere that you don't need the score at level 4 to move to level 5, but once you get to level 5, you do need certain skills to move up.
thanks :)
VERY VERY new to this.
We'll be starting meets at the end of Aug. I believe. Our gym has not given us a schedule and I need to know if I pretty much need to clear my work schedule for the weekends!!!
USAG (we're in Texas).
I was just wondering the other day...I have NO idea what these meets are...
I think I read a thread on this but now I can't find it.
My daughter is turning seven next month. She's a level 4 and will start competing in the fall. She's been a level 4 for about a year but did not compete last year so she's training with level 5's as well (but competing level 4).
She...
Well I thought I would put my son's last L4 meet up.....It was not his cleanest but, well, this is the YMCA....He got the highest AA in all ages, but more importantly HIS personal best....He can finally say goodbye to L4 and concentrate fully on L5. We are so proud of him....
The meet was...
I need help with talking to our Coach/Owner why my DD is not moving up to level 5. She had a good first year in level 4 (not great, a couple 1st and 2nds) has some of her 5 skills, which she just started working on. She really wants to move up. None of the girls in her group have been told they...
My DD tried out and was placed on team last year. The girls were asked to make goals, which I thought was a wonderful idea. They were told no goal was too high if they were willing to pay the price in terms of time, money, and hard work. My daughter's goal was to compete compulsory Level 4. She...
I am just curious in making a comparison between USA gymnastics and Australian gymnastics.
So I was wondering on average how long it takes your girls to get from starting gym to level 4 competitive level.
Here in Australia it takes a long time because levels 1, 2 and 3 are highly...
Well. it was Sunshines first day at L4, and she LOVED it. She also got her ROBHS, so it was a very exciting day. I was nervous about the older girls, but she was happy as can be, and a couple of them were helping her on some stuff, very sweet.
As somebody else mentioned recently in a different thread, things have slowed down so much since season ended, it's harder to find things to post about. That being the case, I'll just try what all us parents do at the gym and just jabber away about my own kid. :p The difference is, of course...
My 6-year-old had her Level 4 states this weekend. She hasn't quite been the same since falling off the beam in March and getting 12 stitches across her knee :(, so we were worried she wouldn't have a successful day.
She came in FIRST on beam (YEAH!), second on bars, tied for 2nd on floor, and...
