Kyrie had her first Level 6 competition yesterday. She did real well and got 2nd AA, 1st Beam (tie), 2nd Bars. I'm real proud of her!!!

Sorry, hubby forgot the bars again. I will try to video them in workout and post.
Pixie had an exhibition that the L5-10 girls did this past Saturday. And having not been to the gym in a loOong time, I learned quite a bit from some of the parents.
One of the things I found out is that the girls that were competing L5 last season are skipping L6 without having to attain the...
Hi wise coaches,
I wanted to get your opinion on what criteria you think a gymnast needs to meet in order to move from L5 to L6.
Is it a certain score at a L5 meet or meets?
Or would it be a certain number (or all) of the L6 skills?
I would love as many opinions as I can get on this, so...
My 9 year old is starting level 6 this year. She started gymnastics 2 years ago. She currently qualified for national tops testing. So, she is just learning the skills required. She also is learning level 6 routines. Her coaches have indicated she may go to early states and then go to Level 7. I...
can anyone name as many skills for any level above level 5?
you can either choose to do one event, and list the skills for each level, or choose one level, and list the skills for each event...thank you so much you guys! :)
Hi all
i really want to move up to level 6....but im only a level 5, and i didnt do to well at my meets this year. i believe that my major problem is flexibility and strength, im really unflexible and not too strong. i need a ROBHBT to move up..and my back handsprings are pretty bad, can...
Our level 5 season has officially and finally come to an end.
We traveled back to Utica for Early Season States and had yet another adventure including a blown tire on the thruway making our drive 6 hours to get there.
Adventure aside we had a great weekend. Hanging out with the other...
Next year I'm going to be doing university gymnastics so i would like to start working on harder skills so i can eventually move up to level 6 when I'm training at University.
Right now I hardly train at all, 4hrs a week max, and we don't have very good equipment, so it is hard enough to keep...
I haven't posted in a while but I do browse once and a while.
Well, I cannot believe our meet season is over. We're just waiting for Sectionals which isn't until the end of April. Good thing, too, because Olivia is injured. Turns out she has a stress fracture (Dr. also called it a "stress...
Happy to be able to say that dd did not quit after our last meet and we were able to compete at Chicago Style on Friday. DD got her highest AA score so far as a level 6 (32.825 - not quite the 33 she was hoping for but so close).
She was on vault first - score 8.25, still can't seem to get...
Little Monkey was all pumped up for States. She has been working really hard with the coaches, tweaking everything, etc. She has been absorbing their lessons like a little sponge. That's why today was such a sad ending to an otherwise awesome season!
We had an 11:30am report time, so I...
Long meet. Registration started at 2:00. Open stretch suppose to start at 2:40, started more like 3:00 so they shortened that. DD was only L6 from gym in session. We had L5's, but they had them rotate seperate. She started on bars, and is just happy she didn't somehow knee herself in the...
Well we had our third level 6 meet report. I will start by saying I wasn't expecting great things given our family holiday party was Saturday and dd was playing with friends and cousins at party all day. We had to sneak out right after dinner for our 5pm check in. So I was pleased by the...
First let me say it was so great meeting fellow CBers flippersmom and swiftli at the meet this weekend. It made things a little less painful! :o
I've heard that the judging at this meet has always been tough. Found out that the one floor judges was a technical judge or something, for...
Brag Alert!
Today was Little Monkey's 2nd Lv 6 Sectional...8am report, 45 min car ride. We were late getting on the road because we had hair product issues, LOL, so I was speeding..good thing there's really not much traffic at that hour on a Sunday.
LM was alone again, since there are...
This will be a quick report, while it's still sort of fresh in my mind. I left Sunday for Denmark on business and just got home today.
Kelsey, had her first Level 8 meet on Sat 8am report time. She is my no-confidence-doesn't-want-to-work-hard girl, however, I was proud of the fact that she...
Whew, that's over with!! We got up at 5:00am on Saturday morning and left at 5:30 to drive down to the meet. It didn't take the 90 or so minutes I thought it would take. We got to the gym at 6:45! Thankfully we have a DVD player in the car so we sat and watched the rest of the movie she was...
