What would be the start value of the following level 7 bar routine.
kip, Cast to hand stand, clear hip circle to handstand, pike on... jump to the high bar, kip, cast to hand stand and layout flyaway. (No giants, no second clear hip).
Thanks....
On Sunday Cait had her second Level 7 meet. It was a meet called Luau in Leos at Kalahari water park in Sandusky. It was a very fun venue for a meet.
Unfortunately on Saturday night, Cait got sick and vomited a few times. We were not sure if she would be able to compete on Sunday. She woke up...
I'm competing Level 7 AAU (same rules as USA) and I wanted to know if my routines meet requirements (they did 2 yrs ago)
Bars:
KIP
Free Hip
Kip
Squat on
Kip
Free Hip
Flyaway
Note: I have my cast handstand, so all my casts are above horizontal and I almost have my giant but I'm worried...
My first level 7 meet is coming up on February 6th. I am really nervous because I am not ready yet! I don't have a dismount on bars yet, I won't let go for the flyaway if I connect it to my giants, so I am still not sure what i will do for that yet. And I won't do my giants if my coach isn't...
I have read several question and answers regarding bar requirements for level 7. Our coach says that 60 degree angle of the cast must be done on the high bar for it to count. But I didnt' think that was what i was reading on this sight. please explain to me if indeed it has to be on the high...
Well Cait, after 3 months of prep, had her first level 7 meet of the season. I won't bore you with tons details but she did wonderful....
First up was floor - very good job, a little rushed but good enough for a 9.250 and 1st place
Next was vault - normally her best event score wise, decent...
I had a few questions about bars and floor that were bugging me and that I'd like to set straight before I compete.
Bars- My coach told me that you only need one requirement height cast (45 degrees about horizontal) in level 7 bars, and that if you don't get your other one there is no...
DD has her 2nd L7 meet last weekend. After some gym drama during the week I did not have many expectations.
Started on Vault. DD is a solid 8.6 vaulter. Sometimes I think it looked like a good vault, sometimes I think it looks like a bad vault .... and they always get 8.6, so what do I...
I know that I don't post here often but I thought that I would share my Dd's first L7 meet results.
This was a huge out of state meet and really didn't know what to expect.
1st up was bars... She did a beautiful routine but her cast HS's were low. Great giants and nice layout dismount...

Well DD had her 2nd meet this past weekend and I feel like a L4 mom all over again. L7 is different the biggest change is the judging!! BOY they are really tough!! DD ended up 2nd on vault and she was really happy. Her floor they didn't count her back layout and reduced her start value to...
I have to say I could not be prouder of my dd. She has been battling major bhs on beam fear for about 6 weeks. So her beam practice has consisted of waiting for someone to spot her on the low beam and practicing her bhs on the floor. Anyway she was making progress on that when she witness a...
It's my first level 7 meet today! I'm just nervus about bars and vault. I've had problems with both of them. But I'm sure I'll do fine. Wish me luck!! :)
Hey everybody....Katelyn's first level 7 meet is this weekend, please send the bar fairy to be with her as she does her FH to HS into her giant and you can send a beam fairy as well to give her confidence on her BHS series on beam! She said the only thing that gives her butterflies is that...
We just returned from my 2nd year L7's this season's first meet (Judges Cup). I was looking forward to seeing something new and exciting due to the latest changes to the optionals requirements and scoring. Boy, was it an eye opener!
I have never seen so many 5s and 6s in all the years since I...
I have literally just moved up to level 7, and my coaches decided to let me compete in the following winter/spring. Being generally fearless (to a fault) I have a lot of options for floor. I can do front handspring front tuck, pike, and layout, but my layouts need practice. On floor, back...
