We started on Floor:) Emily was a little nervous and bouncy but did well...
Then we went off to vault.... Emily did great but the...
So i had my first meet of this year. It was just an intersquad meet, but we had real judges and everything.
I competed my tuck tsuk for the first time ever after working on it for 4 years (YAY!!) and i landed on my feet (not my face like practice) and i was really happy!! I got a 9.0!!
Then...

Ah, just back from a great week before the state meet practice! My L3's are looking solid and consistent, heavily favored to win state by a considerable margin. My 4's are FINALLY putting it all together, including my DD's front hip circle and a teammate that has also made them in practices...
Can someone explain the whole "State" competition meaning to me. Cause... I'm not getting it.
My DD tells me her "State" meet is coming up late in December, and by then she'll have attended THREE whole meets this season.
Now, being that there are literally thousands of Gymnastic schools in...
Bug had her mock meet a couple of weeks ago and I finally posted it to You Tube. Check it out.
YouTube - Level 4 Gymnastics Mock Meet
Hey Bog thanks for the comments already.
Barb
Well the time is finally coming. Bug will have her first level 4 meet this Sunday. Please wish her luck, and send good thoughts that the snow will stay away on Friday and Sunday while we are driving from WI to MN and back.
Thanks
Barb
Just wondering if people could send luck my way for my first high school meet as a freshman!:D I made varisty on three events, vault, floor, and beam, so I'm pretty proud and excited!!:p I'll let you guys know how I did afterwards. (it's this saturday!) Thanks!:)
Liv had her level 3 state meet last weekend and we had lots of fun!
Olivia was the only one competing that session from her team! The rest of the girls in her squad from other gyms cheered for her everytime she was up. Their sportsmanship really touched me and brought tears to my eyes. ;)...
She had her 2nd meet of the season last Sat.
Vault 9.0 1st 9 for season Yeah
Floor 7.65 she just got back her robhs the week before and she made it @ the meet ,but she did a handstand forward roll instead of her front limber she quickly realized her mistake and impervised which probally...
Well my daughter had her 1st level 4 meet ever, last weekend ... and I am so proud of her!
I was a nervous wreck, as I posted here the previous week, because she had never gone to a meet where she did not have every skill down. But, this is the first meet of the season so she certainly has...
My DD as many of you know will be a second year Level7 this year. She is great with that last year she was the only Level 7. Her skills look good except for Bars.
On beam she added a new series, vault she always likes, floor she changed her routine up a little.
Her bars area another...
I competed all events, the Coach lied to me, and told me to compete all 4 at the last minute, which is a subject to get into later!
Results:
Vault: 8.550 [4th Place]
(Pretty good for me.)
Bars: 7.300 [5th Place]
(Had a terrible warm-up, crying throughout the whole thing, my hands felt like...
Dd had first Level 8 meet yesterday.
She competed Capital Cup and there were 22 girls in her age group (9-12yr olds).
I'll try to keep this simple:
First up Floor:
She hit all her passes and did a beautiful job, but stepped out of bounds on her first pass. Funny thing was, she was so...
Ah well there have been better, there have also been worse. I have to give it to her, she is tenacious and has great team spirit. When team mates are crying over their bad scores, she is the one giving them a high five and a hug.
Here are the scores, they will mean nothing to most of you, so...
Does your gym have a mock meet before competition season starts? Are the parents allowed to watch? I was just wondering this is new to me our gym is having one and I assumed we would be able to come and watch but I was wrong - no spectators. Is this normal practice for mock meets?
This will be my first Level 7 meet, and I was wondering if I could get some 'Good Luck' so I won't be so nervous? I'm only competing floor and vault, so that's good. No worries over Beam. I'm not sure if Gymnasts are allowed to request fairies or if that's just the parents (Still fairly new...
So I was reading a thread about food before going to practice, i think in the parent's forum, and I was thinking about my sister's comp on saturday.:p
We have to be there at 7:30 AM and we are about 50 minutes from the place. So we have to leave at 6:40 AM. We'll wake up at around 6:00AM and...
Juju competed Sunday in the big meet that our gym hosted. I was really worried she would be overwhelmed since it was being held at the local university’s facility and there were 2 full sets of equipment running. Apparently, that was not the case. She did very good and wow what a difference...
