I've been trying to pick out floor music for the last month. It has to be here by the 28th so I'm running out of time! Last year I had party rock anthem and it was a disaster. There's hardly any choreography you can do to it and its gotten so annoying! My coaches are so thankful I'm getting new...
Is there a rule of thumb for what kind of floor music coaches/judges like to see for kids of a certain age/level. I know the floor music should fit their gymnastic style and personality but other than that I have no clue. Dd is in the process of picking out level 7 music. There is one pretty...
My daughter has been put into IDP 2 (was in National 2). She is competing in just over a week and only just started learning her new routine last night. She is 8 and does pick things up ok but this is a whole new level with lots of new element that she has not done before.
so if anyone knows of...
Looking for ways to accomplish this for a meet this winter. I have heard of water weights but cannot find any info on them or how much weight needs to be to hold the corners down.
This is my daughter's first year of doing gymnastics and she made a level 3 team for the fall. Does she have to use the music that is with the floor routine? She's deaf so she can't hear it. Is scoring partially based on keeping time with the music?
Her coach has never coached a deaf/HOH kid...
I've found floor music, it's called Torn,
Torn - Gymnastics Floor Music - YouTube
I'm competing new level 6 though so it needs to be 1:15.
I was thinking maybe cut out the beginning and that might work? But all my cuts are choppy and don't blend at all, so if anyone else is willing to give it...
I was wondering how common it was to go to a meet and have two gymnasts in the same session with identical floor music?
DD received her list of possibilities recently and picked one. Don't get me wrong. I think she made a good choice but I also think that it will be somewhat common for her...
We've had lots of requests from several gymnasts and coaches to have the floor music they buy from us edited to a length of 1:20. Normally, we charge a fee to do custom edits.
But as a way to say "THANKS" to our wonderful customers on our 10th birthday, we are offering FREE 1:20 edits of our...
I finally got to see some of the new Level 3 floor routine today. They started working on them a couple of weeks ago, but my DD was out that whole week for camp, then her gym was closed all last week for the 4th. I like the routine. It has some really pretty elements. I haven't heard the...
What are some new end poses that can be used in the new level 5 floor routine? There are two poses which can be anything except you can't be standing up. Arms, legs, and focus is optional. Before the end pose you and sitting on the ground.
"The two final poses are allowed to show creativity...
I just want to be certain I'm understanding this correctly...
Level 6 floor length is 1:15. level 7 (and all higher levels) is 1:30. But if a gymnast does a 1:30 floor routine in Level 6, she will only lose .10 for being overtime, correct?
Assuming the above is correct, does anyone else think...
Can someone clarify the level 8 allowable/required skills on beam and floor? Our girls have been working back tucks on beam, but the coaches are now saying that only C dance skills are allowed on beam & floor. No C acro. This contradicts my understanding from previous threads on here. I have...
DD learned it today. She hasn't done it to the music yet; but knows the routine and showed it to me at the end of practice. I think it is a lot prettier than her AAU 3 routine from last year. She really likes it too. :-)
I also think that what I have seen of the beam routine is prettier.:p
