I compete in TNT. My coach said that I could do F,V,B,B ; and do TNT. But one thing is holding me back. Injurys. Since I am starting late, age twelve. I am nervous that if I do get hurt, that I won't be able to get a scholarship to college. I want to actually do something with gymnastics. Go...
I'm a level 5 and am struggling with getting my leaps on beam to be big. I have a great leap on floor and a full split, but when I move it to a beam it is the tiniest leap ever. My coaches told me that I keep going up instead of splitting my legs, but it just doesnt seem to get better. Any tips...
I am trying to learn my back walkover on beam. I've been practicing it on a 1" high mat beam thing. I can land my feet straight on it but can't get my hands together on it. Does anyone have tips for keeping your hands together so they go on the beam?
I'm just so scared to go backwards and tumble I freak my self out but when I have mats next to the low beam I'm ok? And I can't get my hand placement on beam can anyone help?
I was wondering if anyone had any good drills for back handspring back handspring on the beam.
I have a back handspring on the high beam, as well as a relatively consistent back walkover back handspring and handstand back handspring.
Also, I tend to jump ever so slightly to the right.
Thanks!
My dd just finished up her Level 6 season in March and is now working on Level 7 skills. She is super flexible and has an issue with her legs on her backhandspring stepout on beam. She can do a 2 foot backhandspring and land it on a high beam fine, but has the leg issue on stepout. Her coach...
hi
i currently do a bhs on beam for level 7 but i am so bad at it. i can't do it on the low beam without someone's hand there or i just collapse into the beam. i do it on the high beam with a spot on a regular basis with a hand there and they are pretty good but, at every meet i compete it but...
So I am competing in Ladies division this weekend. Should be interesting :p the problem is I can do a full turn on beam just fine if I am wearing socks but not in my bare feet, not even close. I just can't get around they stick. I have tried chalk, different ways of turning and a dance paw. I...
Provincials are coming up and I need to get rid of all the extra space in my beam routine! Right now I do: middle spilts mount, fluff, full turn, pose, cartwheel to handstand step down, pivot, step lunge pose, spilt jump tuck jump, walk, pose, BWO (sometimes BWO-BWO), squat pivot, walk to end...
I'm a prep op gymnast, and i'm having issues with my beam routine two weeks before the next meet! But I have a TON of extra space before my dismount on beam. I have no idea what to put in.. my dismount is a round off (got down graded due to pain while landing).
But my other skills are...
I swear to God I would rather chuck a double back on beam then a back walkover, liek serious, will not do them. What are some other skills I could work on? Here are a list of skills on beam I can already do...

hi im new to this website but im having a problem with my series on beam its a handstand handspring and im ending up off the beam every time. any insite?
At the meet this weekend, I saw a lot of variation during a part of the routine. I hoped to come here to find a definitive answer.
After the gymnasts levers into and out of the handstand, she runs and locks into position to execute a half turn. This is where my question comes from. Some of...
Hi - I've had a look on this forum but I can't find it anywhere. Can someone please tell me the theory behind which hand goes in front when completing a backflip on beam and why? I know it has something to do with preventing the shoulders from twisting but I'd really like to know the reasoning...
My poor dd has been nailing every beam routine and did fine in the warm up. Then she goes to compete and she falls on her first back walkover of the series. She aparently mounted on the wrong side and had to do a half turn to get back on track. I think she confused herself. She said that if she...
