My dd has been working on a handstand that she wants to put in her beam routine. She will be repeating the same level as last year (which is comparable to Level 5 USAG). This is a pretty risky move for her since she often arches too much in her handstand and then goes over and can't save it...
My daughter recently moved up to level 7. She has been having trouble with her backhandspring on beam. She consistantly gets her hands and front foot on the beam, but her back foot goes off to the side on just about every one. How does she get her back foot on the beam?
I recently started doing gymnastics again and I was doing full turns on beam and got this huge nasty foot rip, hurts something awful! Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do about it? I really don't want beam shoes.
I am doing AAU Ladies division. I was told I needed a "B" jump for beam. I was told a split jump is a B jump but I am terrible at them, what other jump could I do that is a B?
I'm scared to do my back handspring on the beam... When I think to myself "Why even bother staying in gymnastics if im not going to try new things?" It helps but when I get on that beam.. I just totally freak out. So basically, I'm not scared to do my BHS on beam at all, until I get on the...

I know the reqs have changed, as well as what you are no longer allowed to do. What are the requirements that must be included in a level 7 and 8 beam routines?

Hey guys, I've been working handstands on beam, and can most of the time get almost completely up and land back on the beam. However, i was wondering if anyone has some tips as to where your hands should go/ where you should look. Basically any tips that might aid in a handstand on beam. Right...

Does any one have any ideas or poses for making a level 8 beam routine? Also, how long is one supposed to be and what are the required elements?
Thanks!

for level 7 in canada you need a skill that goes backwards. Thats a bit of a problem for me becuase i like to do front rolls, cartwheels, and roundoffs. None of these skills go backwards. For level 7, i have three Bs (press mount, free-roll, roundoff), a split, but i have no backwards moves...
So I've just about developed callouses on the balls of my feet from trying to work out how to perform a controlled full turn on the beam (I was practising at home on the tiled floor, using the line as the beam for accuracy).
I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. The thing is, I can do them on...
Okay so, I can't get my cartwheel on beam by myself. I can do it fine with spot and my coaches tell me that i can do it on my own but i always psyche myself out and can't even get one foot on the beam. I know its all in my head but i don't know what to do to stop psyching myself out, i try to...
I'm in Level 4, and our beam routine requires a ''straight jump' dismount, or, as a bonus, you can do a front sault.
I can do a front sault off high beam onto a crash mat, but as soon as the mat is gone, I totally lose all confidence and get scared I'll hurt myself. How can I get over this?
I have been working on a backwalkover on beam.
I have probably been working on it for about 10 months.
I can do it on low beam without panel mats on the side, but whenever I go to the medium sized beam (about 2 feet above the groound), my coach will stand thre ready to spot me and i just...
Next year I need a series on beam with a B flight element. I was wondering which element would be the easiest to learn, but also the one that will help me the most latter on. Round off, BHS, FHS (I don't have a FWO), or anyothers that your can think of. Then I need to connect this to a different...
